Week 12: Bus Blocked-out Environment & Camera Set-up

Introduction:

For this week’s blog post, I’ll be talking about how I went about modeling my bus environment and setting up my cameras. Lastly, I’ll be listing down my objectives to complete by next week.

This Week’s Task:

I began this week off by browsing through Google for interior designs of buses. As I was only planning to animate two scenes within the bus environment, that meant I didn’t need to include many objects as it wouldn’t be necessary. This meant i only had to focus on the essential objects, which were a chair, poles, and a window.

So i started off by modelling the exterior of the bus, making sure i inserted those edge loops to create the outline of the windows, as well as not forgetting to extrude the faces to create the window borders.

For the interior design, I imported the same chair I used from the Train environment, and just duplicated it several times. Other than that, I modelled the poles myself.

Camera Set-up:

As I had finished modelling the bus environment, i was now ready to set up the cameras. However, I decided on only setting up one camera as I plan on flipping the entire geometry for the second scene, making it look like my character is sitting on the right side instead of the left side.
